Understanding the bail-out
Thursday, October 2nd, 2008
How convenient is it that my site is dedicated to living without having to borrow money? After all, that’s what debt free is. So naturally you’d think I’d be against the bail-out. I’m not.
Truth is, the bail-out is more than me not being able to borrow from banks (which I don’t plan on doing anyways). But it is about keeping me and many others employed. That’s right, if this thing isn’t corrected soon it’s going to have a trickle down effect that’s going to affect everyone in some capacity or another.
We’re already near an all time high at unemployment. Gas prices through the roof and fighting against inflation doesn’t make our jobs any easier anytime soon.
I’m a Democrat at heart. My selflessness allows me to not be greedy and help those that may need it. By that statement, I mean the “average Joe” has been bailed out time and time again. It’s called welfare.
Why not allow the Corporate America one bailout after they’ve been footing the bill for everyone else for so long? I know you’re thinking they did it to themselves but that can be said about the average Joe that’s milking the system by keep making babies to stay on welfare.
Step up people. It’s our turn.
